I’m interested in an MBA. What should I do first?
If you’re thinking of investing in an MBA program, getting as much information as you can is essential. Once you have a feel for the schools that are right for you, arrange to speak with them, speak with faculty members and students, and see if you can attend a class. I would like to apply. What should I do?
Start working on an application to the International MBA and plan to take your Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) or the Nyenrode Admission test if you haven’t already done so. Visit http://www.gmat.org and http://www.nyenrode.nl/imba/admissiontest for further information on these tests.

If you’re a non-native English speaker, you’ll also need to take either the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or International English Language Testing system (IELTS) test. We don’t run these tests, so you’ll need to arrange them yourself. Visit http://www.toefl.org or http://www.ielts.org for more information.

Minimum TOEFL scores required:
Computer-based – 250 or higher
Paper-based – 600 or higher
Internet-based – 100 or higher.

Candidates from, and residing in, the Peoples’ Republic of China need to take the IELTS test academic module (International English Language Testing System), and get a score of 6.5 or higher to apply to Nyenrode. These candidates must register with the Netherlands Education Support Office (NESO) in Beijing and get a NESO Certificate to request study visas for The Netherlands. Admission requirements
If you want to apply to the Nyenrode MBA program, you need to have:

• a minimum of 3 years’ working experience
• a university degree (or equivalent) with an excellent academic record
• a thorough command of written and spoken English
• taken the (TOEFL, Institutional code 9202, department code 02) or IELTS test for non-native English speakers
• taken the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT code W21-2K-17) or the Nyenrode Admission test for the IMBA Program.
• completed an application package, including written essays and letters of recommendation
• a selection interview, which takes place after the complete application package has been reviewed by our Admissions Committee

What happens once I’ve applied?
We review applications on a rolling basis, which means that we’ll start processing your application as soon as it arrives. Typically, you’ll hear within a week of your application arriving whether we’d like to interview you. The interview may take place face-to-face at Nyenrode, or may be by telephone. After the interview, we’ll let you know within one to two weeks of the outcome of your application. If we’d like to offer you a place, but we haven’t received all the elements of your application, we may offer you a conditional place.

We want managers who are serious about their own development and future, and the interview is your opportunity to show us that you fit that profile. It’s crucial in assessing your suitability for our MBA Programs.

If the initial review of your application is successful, we’ll invite you to Nyenrode for a personal interview. We encourage you to come in person if you can. If not, we can arrange for you to be interviewed in your country of residence or by phone.
